CHALLENGE
Manual work station within an automatic assembly line have significantly influenced the line cycle time and the customer requirement was not fulfilled.

PROJECT DURATION

RESULT
By re-structuring of the work content of each single work station, the manual assembly station was implemented without any negative effect into the automatic line. The customer requirement is fulfilled.

Approach:

The current concept was analyzed in a common workshop together with our customer. In total 75 single processes within 16 single station have been analyzed. Based on the results the complete work content was restructured and assigned to the manual work stations. In addition the complete station layout was revised in order to get a better material flow, optimized part supply and optimized processing within the layout.

Thanks to the optimization of the work content, the manual assembly station can reach the customer requirements without additional investments.
